Windows 11 Enable 265 Bit locker Encryption.

Windows BitLocker encryption defaults to 128-bit AES encryption, but you can choose to use 256-bit AES encryption instead. Using a 256-bit AES key could potentially offer more security against future attempts to access your files.

1. Open Windows Registery (Run Regedit).
2. Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components.
3. Select Bitlocker Drive Encryption
4. Choose drive encryption method and cipher strenght [version 1511] and later.
4. Toggle on Enabled
5. Click the drop-down box and select XTZ-AES 256-bit for the first two and
6. Select CBC 256-bit for the last one
7. Click Apply and OK to save


To protect Laptop with PIN
Now go back to Bitlocker Drive Encryption

1. Select Operation System Drives
2. Require Additional Authentication at Startup
3. Toggle on Enabled
4. Select Apply and OK
5. Select Allow enhanced PINs for startup
6. Toggle on Enabled and select Apply and OK

Enable Bitlocker and select a PIN
1. In the search box type cmd
2. Enter the command: control /name Microsoft.BitLockerDriveEncryption
3. Enable BitLocker
